Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead commissioning activities on site for major industrial projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring control systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to meet technical, functional, and safety requirements.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and execute commissioning of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and networked automation infrastructure.
* Perform site-based functional testing, loop checking, fault-finding, and system tuning.
* Interface with project stakeholders including construction, electrical, instrumentation, and OEM teams to coordinate commissioning activities.
* Interpret and validate I/O schedules, control philosophies, and P&IDs against system performance.
* Ensure systems comply with project specifications, Australian standards, and client requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, or similar).
* Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience.
* Proficiency with major PLC/SCADA platforms (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, Citect, Ignition).
* Strong understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
* Proven ability to work autonomously in remote and high-pressure environments.
* Solid knowledge of AS/NZS standards, functional safety, and site commissioning protocols.

Additional Requirements
The following qualifications are desirable:
* Exida/TUV Functional Safety certification or similar.
* Relevant site access tickets (e.g. White Card, MSIC, or site-specific inductions).
