About the Role
Our organization requires a Personal Care Worker to provide tailored care services to clients in their own homes.
You will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
* Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following a client's personalized care plan.
* Collaborate with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and more.
* Evaluate client care needs and work closely with the care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
* Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and report any concerns promptly to the RN/Care Manager.
* Assist clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under the supervision of an RN.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic first aid and CPR training
* Experience working with vulnerable populations or elderly individuals
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
