This challenging position involves providing specialist support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on assessment and intervention skills. You will work in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres to help NDIS participants achieve their goals and maximise their funding.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will build meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
 * You will provide therapy to NDIS participants using your assessment and intervention skills.
 * Work in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
 * Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies within a positive behaviour support framework.
 * Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
 * A relevant tertiary qualification.
 * Registration with relevant professional bodies.
 * Deemed status as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
 * At least 12 months' experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
 * A positive flexible approach with strong communication skills.
