The Station:
Minderoo Station is located on the banks of the Ashburton River in the heart of the West Pilbara, WA. At only 45km from the town of Onslow, there is close access to local town amenities. With the station bordering the Exmouth Gulf there are some hidden WA gems on your doorstep, along with great social events in the surrounding region.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our General Manager of Extensive Agribusiness for a 6 month contract.
You will support the growth of the extensive agribusiness and will ensure effective communication with the business unit managers in the extensive property network within Harvest Road.
You will also be responsible for assisting the business unit management teams in aligning clear and precise communication with corporate support roles. You will also be required to conduct some analysis of both financial and herd performance to ensure effective and optimal performance contributing to Harvest Road growing into a leading agribusiness. Strong interpersonal skills are vital in this role and this role creates a unique opportunity to excel your career within Harvest Road and the industry. Travel will be required with General Manager - Extensive Agribusiness.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide administrative support to the General Manager – Extensive Agribusiness, including calendar and travel oversight, correspondence management, document assistance and summaries of events and meetings.
Conduct analysis of financial and herd performance, creating visualisations of the data for presentation and assessment.
Assisting with creating standard operating procedures (SoPs) and verification of competency documents (VoCs) to streamline processes across the extensive property network.
Assist the General Manager – Extensive Agribusiness in communicating and liaising safety initiatives in conjunction with Harvest Road’s Agribusiness Safety Business Partner.
Assist in the design and implementation of projects which extend across the Extensive Agribusiness portfolio.
Liaise with various mining companies across the extensive and intensive agribusiness portfolios, negotiating access agreements.
Communicate directly with business unit managers on proposed mining activity on the properties.
Liaise with Harvest Road’s internal legal counsel in relation to mining activities across the portfolio.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business studies or related discipline (beneficial not essential).
Strong communication / interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with an array of stakeholders.
Experience working with senior decision makers whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Solid industry knowledge and experience, with experience in the beef industry.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office and presentation skills – ability to write and communicate clearly.
Current manual Class C driver’s licence.
Capacity to work under pressure, be flexible to change and ability to work independently.
Proven analytical background - the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data (beneficial not essential).
Previous experience working operationally within the livestock industry (beneficial not essential).
Previous experience in team management (beneficial not essential).
