About The Activity And Performance Unit
The Activity and Performance Unit delivers local reporting solutions that enable managers to effectively monitor and analyse their activity and performance. In close collaboration with ICT, the unit ensures the use of contemporary and fit-for-purpose technologies to develop information solutions that support managers and leaders in providing high-quality care across Hunter New England (HNE).
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in programming and supporting information software systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of current technologies and emerging innovations, along with a proven ability to document processes and workflows effectively. This role involves developing complex and detailed reports in partnership with senior executives, managers, and clinicians. You will be required to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. A strong focus on attention to detail, teamwork, and outcome-oriented collaboration is essential. High-level analytical capabilities, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are critical to success in this position.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or extensive relevant industry experience.
* Strong programming skills in C#, T-SQL, and JavaScript.
* Experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular or similar client-side libraries.
* Demonstrated ability to architect and design complex systems across diverse platforms and technologies.
* Expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI and QlikView.
* Proven ability in data analysis, including the manipulation and interpretation of large datasets.
* Advanced database management skills using Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, and Office applications.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of data systems and structures.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels.
