About The Role
As the Lead Completions Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing the completions process across multiple work packages on the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project — a world-first renewable energy development in Far North Queensland.
Working on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you'll play a key role in ensuring construction deliverables meet project standards and are ready for safe, timely handover to the client. This is a critical, site-based leadership role that bridges the gap between delivery and operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate completions activities across mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical scopes, ensuring compliance with project quality and delivery requirements.
* Develop and manage completions documentation, including ITPs, test reports, checklists, punch lists, and handover packages.
* Interface with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and client teams to manage progress and ensure systems are ready for handover.
* Monitor and report on completion status across work fronts, identifying blockers and driving resolution.
* Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and environmental standards, supporting operational readiness.
About You
You're a methodical and practical engineer with strong experience in completions or construction handover on major infrastructure or process projects. You take ownership, work well across teams, and have a clear understanding of what it takes to bring complex projects to completion.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
* Proven experience in completions, project engineering, or construction delivery in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related discipline).
* A strong understanding of QA/QC processes, documentation, and handover systems.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
* Experience working in remote FIFO environments is advantageous.
