Exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join a large and well-known government department to deliver and manage all aspects of ICT/digital project, program and portfolio management.
This is an initial contract for 12 months. Rate is up to $1,100.00 p.d. + super.
This is a hybrid work set up (St Leonards and WFH)
This role will be responsible for supporting the Program Director, Applications Director, Program Managers and Project Managers in all aspects of ICT/digital project, program and portfolio management. The role works within the Corporate IT Portfolio and provides leadership and guidance to the Project Management team.
**About the Job**:
- Lead and manage the planning and delivery of critical and highly complex and/or large technical projects to deliver organisational initiatives
- Lead all aspects of the project management cycle, including preparing business cases and project plans, identifying and allocating resources, developing and managing budgets, communication and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to quality standards
- Develop strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of project implementation including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures to achieve the success of the project/s
- Lead and manage project team/s to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes of the project/s
- Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met
- Foster and sustain strategic partnerships across teams, Directorates, the wider agencies and relevant external agencies
- Provide strategic advice about the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business performance
**About You**:
- At least 3+ years of experience in program managing large and complex ICT and digital projects
- Government/public sector experience is preferred
- Extensive experience and a proven record of achievement in Project/Program Management, in a large complex organisation delivering large information system projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large and diverse multifunctional teams, including the ability to drive and manage performance to achieve a high performing workplace culture.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
