About the role
Our Host Employer, QPE Engineering is a leading manufacturing company delivering advanced manufacturing, precision components and assembly to a range of industries. As a Machinist Apprentice, you will work hands-on producing precision components and assemblies that support defence, aerospace, mining and renewable energy industries.
* Learn from skilled tradespeople in a cutting-edge production environment
* Develop core machining and engineering fundamentals
* Assist qualified trades and help maintain a clean, organised workshop
* Learn basic machining techniques using manual mills and lathes
* Perform basic machine maintenance
* Use a variety of hand tools
Location and hours
Location: Gillman
Hours of Work: 6.30am – 3.00pm, Monday - Friday
