We are currently seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers in Shepparton area to join our growing team and make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to NDIS participants based on individual care plans
* Assist clients with daily living tasks including personal care, showering, grooming, and dressing
* Support with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
* Facilitate community access, social outings, and recreational activities
* Assist with mobility and transfers using safe manual handling practices
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes and incident reports
* Support clients in building life skills, independence, and achieving their NDIS goals
* Ensure all services are delivered with respect, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
Requirements
* Cert III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
* Minimum 6 months experience as a support worker (preferred). Must have experience supporting children with complex behaviours.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (as per government guidelines)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disability
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work across different shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Desirable
* Manual handling and medication administration training
