The Opportunity*
As our Group Payroll Manager, you will have complete autonomy to lead the Payroll function for the Culture Kings Group. You will be responsible for payroll processing and support of all sites across Australia and New Zealand. This fast paced and challenging role suits someone who is technically strong, with exceptional leadership skills seeking a career defining role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee and process end-to-end weekly payroll of 700+ employees across multiple entities and states in Australia
- Oversee and process end-to-end weekly payroll of 60+ employees in NZ. (Future stores to open in NZ)
- Mentor and guide our Payroll Officer
- Process new starters, Terminations, Redundancies, Annual Leave, Long Service Leave and backpay calculations
- Maintain and update employee records accurately in the payroll (MicrOpay) and time & attendance (Time Target/Humanforce) systems
- Manage PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax & Payroll reporting
- Maintain, implement and comply with up-to-date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation
- Investigate and resolve all payroll queries
- Optimise the payroll function through improving systems, policies, and procedures
- Provide as requested reports to senior management to assist with pay negotiations and financial budgeting
- Year-end responsibilities including Workcover and Payroll Tax annual lodgements.

Your skills & experience: *
- Previous experience with **Sage MicrOpay** is essential
- 7 + years end to end payroll experience in a high-volume environment
- Previous leadership experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern awards and other state industry legislation
- Previous experience with a Time & Attendance system. Time Target/Humanforce desirable
- Ability to interpret various awards and agreements in Australia
- Knowledge of payroll tax and WorkCover legislation in all states
- Understanding of payroll compliance and practices
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced computer software skills including intermediate level in excel
- Strong time management skills and an ability to work independently
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
