Technology & Infrastructure Leadership
- Technology, infrastructure and network planning, design and implementation.
- Leading a team of infrastructure staff to perform their duties in line with their roles.
- Delivering quality outcomes on operational and project work.
- Responding to and resolving infrastructure-related incidents in a timely manner and assisting other teams as needed.
- Providing technical expertise to the team, other teams, and to the business as needed.
- Identifying patterns and offering solutions to peers and management for preventing common issues.
- Infrastructure project management and leadership during times of change.
- Infrastructure capital and operational expense planning and management.
- Managing vendor relationships and keeping up to date with emerging technologies including development and refresh of infrastructure roadmaps.
Infrastructure Management
- Proactively monitoring system performance and integrity.
- Performing maintenance on systems and/or ensuring maintenance is completed by the team.
- Procuring hardware, software, and licensing as required.
- Work with internal and/or external auditors to provide evidence as requested and continuously ensure compliance is met as prescribed in relevant frameworks.
- Managing the asset register.
- Documenting infrastructure systems and related processes.
- Managing hardware and software lifecycles including upgrades, license and support renewals and end-of-life planning.
- Creating, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures.
- Delivering project tasks with quality outcomes and within established budget and timeframes.
**_About you:_**
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing enterprise infrastructure including Data Centres, wired and wireless networks, virtual platforms, carrier networks, and Windows-based servers.
- Intermediate to advanced networking knowledge such as routing, TCP/IP, SD-WAN, switching and firewalls
- Knowledge and experience in managing VMware and Cisco UCS infrastructure
- Experience building systems and troubleshooting/rectifying hardware and network faults
- Experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure budgets
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server systems including Active Directory
- Experience managing an Office 365 environment
- Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure projects
- Prior experience in infrastructure roadmap development
- Leading and managing a team of Infrastructure Engineers with broad skillsets and maintaining support queues and priorities for the team
- Ability to do hands-on technical work as needed
- Practical knowledge of change management frameworks and processes
- Strong skills in maintaining relationships with vendors
