The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Program Manager in delivering a dynamic portfolio of organisation-wide reform initiatives and projects. You will help ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard while playing a hands‐on role in planning, coordination, and performance reporting. The position also offers the chance to build strong stakeholder relationships and work closely with consultants, contractors, community members, and internal teams, using clear and professional communication to support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Program Manager to plan, manage, monitor and deliver the organisational reform program.
* Assist in the preparation and review of project plans and associated documentation for the relevant reform projects.
* Maintain a program wide masterplan and risks, issues and dependencies register.
* Track and record outcomes of the program (benefits realisation) and maintain appropriate registers.
* Assist in the preparation of project budgets, contribute to funding submissions and monitor financial performance, reporting variations as required.
* Contribute to the preparation of Executive briefings, status reports and other corporate reporting requirements in a timely, accurate manner under the supervision of the Manager.
* Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support clarity of expectations and compliance requirements of the organisational reform program under the supervision of the Manager.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, records and intellectual property using corporate systems.
* Follow Council processes, policies and deliver projects in line with the Project Management Framework.
Skills & Experience
We're seeking a candidate with relevant tertiary qualifications and some experience, or an equivalent level of practical experience. You will have strong organisational and project management skills and be able to plan and prioritise your work effectively. You communicate clearly and can build positive relationships with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors in a public sector environment. You are comfortable working independently and take a proactive approach to achieving project outcomes. You also bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset to support organisational reform initiatives.
