We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our organisation as Head of Workforce Planning. This national role is responsible for leading workforce analytics, planning, and reporting across our nursing agency operations. The position plays a critical role in ensuring optimal workforce deployment—delivering high-quality care to healthcare providers across Australia while supporting sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Workforce Planning :
Develop and implement a national workforce planning framework aligned with organisational growth and client demand. Forecast workforce supply and demand, incorporating market trends and emerging opportunities, including international workforce considerations.
* Workforce Analytics & Reporting :
Lead the design and delivery of workforce dashboards and performance reporting. Provide actionable insights through the analysis of workforce utilisation, productivity, and emerging gaps. Regularly brief executive leadership on workforce trends, risks, and planning outcomes.
* Data Governance & System Optimisation :
Collaborate with internal data and technology teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of workforce data. Drive the adoption of advanced reporting tools and best practices in data visualisation.
* Transformation & Change Management :
Provide expert advice on changes impacting workforce planning, including award updates and workforce patterns. Work closely with Marketing and Operations to support attraction strategies and respond to recruitment needs based on workforce analytics.
* Stakeholder Engagement :
Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on workforce planning, capacity forecasting, and market trends. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders—including Recruitment, Finance, HR, and Operations—to ensure alignment of workforce planning with broader business objectives. Contribute to tender submissions and client proposals with workforce insights.
To be Considered:
* Relevant tertiary
qualifications
in Business, Analytics, Human Resources, Health Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in workforce planning or analytics, ideally within a large, multi-site or healthcare organisation.
* Demonstrated expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel), with experience in workforce modelling and predictive analytics.
* Strong understanding of award interpretation and visa requirements in a healthcare or agency context.
* Proven leadership skills, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a high level of commercial acumen.

* Improvements in workforce utilisation and resourcing efficiency
* Quality and timeliness of insights and reporting
* Effective stakeholder engagement and contribution to strategic initiatives
