Overview

About Us. UniSuper is the custodian of our members' life savings. Everything we do is focused on delivering strong retirement outcomes for our members. If you enjoy working with passionate professionals, making a meaningful difference, and being part of a purpose driven organisation, you're in the right place.

Our broader Financial Advice team supports members and their families through education and advice services to help them achieve better retirement outcomes. We are proud of our "Home for Advice Professionals" proposition, which reflects our commitment to attracting and supporting high quality advice talent.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Superannuation Consultant to join our Advice team in Perth. This is a permanent role available between four and five days per week, with working days agreed and confirmed at offer.

As a Superannuation Consultant, you\'ll play an important role supporting members across university campuses and dedicated member spaces, delivering general advice, education and guidance. Working primarily onsite in Perth, you\'ll be comfortable operating independently on campus while staying actively connected to a small, collaborative Advice team.

Responsibilities

* Meet with existing and prospective members, in person and virtually, to respond to general advice and factual enquiries about UniSuper and superannuation
* Identify when members require personal advice and refer them through the appropriate UniSuper Advice channels
* Present at in person and virtual member and employer seminars
* Support university onboarding activities, including new staff inductions, expos and presentations from time to time
* Promote UniSuper's digital services and tools, including Member Online
* Act as a UniSuper advocate on campus, strengthening relationships with universities and key stakeholders
* Maintain strong connections with internal teams while working in a campus based environment

About you

You\'re a confident and approachable professional who enjoys engaging with people from all walks of life. You are comfortable working autonomously, building relationships and explaining complex information in a clear and accessible way.

You value strong compliance and understand the importance of operating within clear advice boundaries. You're also open to learning and evolving your capability as the advice environment continues to change.

Qualifications

* RG 146 compliance with Diploma of Financial Planning (or higher preferred)
* Strong superannuation knowledge, with defined benefit experience desirable (but not essential)
* Experience responding to general superannuation enquiries in an advice or relationship based role
* A clear understanding of general advice and the importance of appropriate referrals to personal advice roles
* Confidence presenting to groups, or a willingness to build this capability is desirable but not essential
* Strong communication, organisational and relationship building skills
* Flexibility to work locally as required
* A valid driver\'s license

What we offer

We believe that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate. Therefore, we ask you to be able to commit to 80% of your time in the office if working full time.

UniSuper\'s high performance culture is supported by a range of benefits that demonstrates our commitment to ensuring our employees achieve their full potential, thrive, and grow their career with us. These include:

* A personal development budget of $1500 to support employees in their professional growth

At UniSuper, we value and celebrate diversity and inclusion in our workplace, where everybody can thrive. We believe that having a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, interests, abilities, and skills is crucial for delivering great retirement outcomes for our members. We invite you to apply for the roles that suit your career aspirations, even if you don't meet all the requirements listed.
