We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist/MH Social Worker or OT to join our team on a contract basis. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our patients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a private hospital setting, providing individualised care and evidence-based psychological interventions. The role is based in Mackay, QLD 4740.

The Opportunity:(Role overview)

* Facilitate Day Programs for three days a week at Mackay Private Hospital.
* Engage with patients across different age groups, delivering therapeutic programs.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of these programs.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on day patient mental health.
* Potential to operate a supported private practice within the hospital setting.
* Facilitate group therapy sessions, specifically Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as other therapeutic programs.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

1. Psychology/OT/SW Qualifications:

2. Accredited undergraduate degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work

3. AHPRA registered or eligibility for registration with AASW.
4. OT and SW - Mental Health accreditation
5. Graduates will be considered
6. Experience:

7. Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions, especially CBT and DBT.

8. Experience in planning, organizing, and delivering skills-based groups.
9. Other Skills:

10. Training and experience facilitating group therapy such Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. (desirable)

11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
12. Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently while being part of a multidisciplinary team.
13. Creativity and flexibility in delivering therapy content.
14. High level of organizational skills, capable of managing a complex therapeutic environment.
15. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

2. Lead therapy groups using CBT and DBT methods.

3. Engage patients in learning and practicing new skills for managing mental health.
4. Customize content delivery to meet patient needs and ensure effective participation.
5. Program Development:

6. Participate in the ongoing development of therapeutic programs.

7. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure programs align with the needs of the patient group.
8. Administrative Responsibilities:

9. Keep clear and accurate records of group participation, progress, and outcomes.
