ABOUT THIS ROLE
Neural Tapestry Counselling is recruiting a support worker for a client based in the Southern Highlands NSW. The role involves both in-home support and community access on a casual ongoing basis, with hours and scheduling negotiated individually. There is occasional collaboration with other workers and practitioners.
WHAT THE WORK INVOLVES
* In-home support: organisational and declutter tasks
* Community access: accompanying to appointments, outings, and social events
* Supporting sensory and regulatory needs across varied environments
* Capacity building support, including active physical accompaniment in community and small-group or one-to-one settings
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Someone whose understanding of neurodivergence is personal — either their own experience or that of an immediate family member — and who can speak to what that experience is actually like
* Genuine neurodiversity-affirming practice, not simply awareness-level training
* Allied health background or current enrolment in an allied health programme highly regarded
* Able to participate actively in community-based settings
* Comfortable around dogs
* Confident communicating entirely in writing — all contact is by email and text, no phone calls
* Follows the client's lead and direction
* Strong work ethic

Successful applicants will also be required to provide a current Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencing.
Applications that cannot confirm all three points will not be progressed.
