The Role
IN OFFICE ROLE - IMMEDIATE START. We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (RPEQ certified) who combines strong structural design capability with hands-on SolidWorks drafting experience. In this role, you will work with our team on the structural design process, certify designs to Australian Standards, and produce detailed SolidWorks drawings to support fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Structural design, analysis, and certification of steel and metalwork structures (AS/NZS standards)
* Produce and review detailed SolidWorks 3D models and fabrication drawings
* Work closely with internal drafting, fabrication, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Provide technical leadership and support to our team
* Conduct site inspections, structural assessments, and liaise with clients, builders, and other stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and engineering codes
What You’ll Bring:
* Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – essential
Tertiary qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Proven experience in the design of steel structures, including custom fabrication and architectural metalwork
* High proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling & drafting)
* Strong understanding of AS/NZS structural codes and standards
* Excellent communication and project coordination skills
