Volunteer - Therapy Assistant (Sports Program)
Location: Newcastle / Croudace Bay, NSW, Australia. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy and similar conditions. Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting our Lifestyles, sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services.
Responsibilities
Support CPA staff and clients to run the group.
Assist with sport sessions such as basketball, athletics and soccer, typically after 3:30pm and up to 6:00pm on school terms.
Volunteer on one or more days per term; programs run throughout the school term and start from 3:30pm. We would ideally want two volunteers per group.
Schedule
Basketball sessions listed for after school (3:30pm–6:00pm) on selected days
Athletics sessions in the schedule
Soccer sessions in the schedule
Starting Term 4; volunteers may choose one day or more per week
Qualifications
16 years and above
NDIS Worker Screening
Working with Children Check NSW
Working with Vulnerable People ACT
All pre‑existing injuries or illnesses that may affect volunteering should be disclosed
Safety, Inclusion and Compliance
