Cardiac Nurses – an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical leadership skills in the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant at Royal North Shore Hospital. The position is temporary part‐time 14 hrs per week in a job‐share arrangement.
The Cardiology Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert clinical leader who provides advice, recommendations, and education to staff regarding all aspects of cardiology nursing care. The CNC liaises with the patient flow team to optimise the flow of patients requiring cardiac monitoring, oversees care of patients in the Coronary Care Unit, and acts as a resource person for the management of cardiology patients at RNSH.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
* Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency; minimum five years full‐time postgraduate experience with three years full‐time equivalent in the specialty field. The applicant must hold an approved postgraduate qualification (minimum Graduate Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working toward a Master's level qualification.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice and implement change.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
