What's the Role
As a hands‐on Appian Engineer, you'll use your skills in building, designing, maintaining, and testing, for the development of our technology used by the Digital Consumer Finance technology team. You will also engage with various stakeholders and become an expert in your domain whilst supporting the broader engineering community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development and implementation of Appian workflows and solutions
* Translate business requirements into technical designs aligned with Appian best practices
* Provide hands‐on technical leadership to developers, ensuring high‐quality delivery
* Own end‐to‐end application performance, optimisation, and troubleshooting
* Conduct design and code reviews to maintain standards, performance, and maintainability
* Partner with service owners to define requirements and translate them into technical user stories
What do I need?
* Strong analytical, technical design and problem‐solving skills
* Deep Appian expertise, including BPM, SAIL, Appian Records and process models
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins or Bamboo
* Solid integration experience with REST services and external APIs
* Strong understanding of API security and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
* Exposure to modern platforms and tools such as Kafka, Spring Boot, Splunk or AppDynamics (desirable)
