We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Renewable Energy Project Development Manager to join our team in New South Wales (NSW), Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development stage of multiple renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Experience with wind energy projects is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the development phase of renewable energy projects, including solar, BESS, and potentially wind projects.
* Oversee project planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance processes.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, and contractors.
* Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify suitable project locations.
* Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
* Ensure projects meet all technical, environmental, and safety standards.
* Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and updates to senior management.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar and BESS.
* Preferably, experience with wind energy projects.
* Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
