TWG Loxton, the Australian arm of the world's second-largest wine company – The Wine Group, is offering a rare and exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Cellar Leading Hand (Grade 4).
Located in the heart of the Riverland, our Loxton Winery is known for its world-class wine production and export excellence. We're now on the lookout for motivated individuals to help drive our cellar operations forward.
About the Role
As a Leading Hand, you'll play a key leadership role within our Production team – supporting the Cellar Supervisor to manage daily operations, guide team performance and ensure high standards in safety, quality and efficiency are consistently met.
This is more than just a job – it's a chance to lead by example, develop innovative ideas and build strong working relationships across our Maintenance, Winemaking, and Laboratory teams. You'll be instrumental in creating a cohesive, high-performing team culture that delivers results and sets new standards for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Supporting day-to-day Cellar operations and ensuring production and quality targets are met
* Leading by example in safety, communication and team engagement
* Prioritising, monitoring and completing Cellar Work Notes efficiently and safely
* Troubleshooting equipment issues and escalating when necessary
* Developing and reviewing SOPs to ensure safe and effective practices
* Coaching and mentoring Cellar Hands across all levels
* Collaborating closely with internal departments to meet shared goals
What You'll Bring:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
* Ability to safely operate cellar equipment and machinery (Essential)
* Certificate III in Wine Operations (Essential or willingness to obtain)
* Forklift Licence (Essential)
* Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (Desired)
* Senior First Aid (Desired)
* Warden or Chief Warden training (Desired)
