**About Us**:
Join our Mechanical & Electrical Asset Services team, a flexible group of 13 professionals responsible for maintaining and managing mechanical and electrical equipment throughout SEW's network. We oversee planned and reactive maintenance, minor upgrade works, and the upkeep of crucial asset information.
**Why the Role is Available**:
The role plays a critical function in ensuring timely updates to SEW's electrical drawings following any modification work. Currently, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter to clear a backlog of drawing updates.
6-Month Contract (Strong potential for Ongoing Intermittent Work).
Immediately start available, but over Christmas is possible as well.
**Pay range**:between **$45 P/H **and** $60 P/H**
**Responsibilities/Duties**:
**Key Activities**:
- Update or create electrical drawings based on hard copy markups provided by field technicians.
- Liaise with technicians and field electricians to ensure accurate markups and arrange site verifications as needed.
- Conduct basic design drafting for new installations (e.g., new switchboards).
- Convert drawings from various formats to current formats (.dwg).
- Update electrical drawings on SEW's drawing management system.
- Create hard copies of drawings for distribution to site as required.
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required**:
- Extensive experience in electrical drafting, including design drafting.
- Preferably, experience in the water industry.
- Electrical trade background (e.g., Grade A electrical license) or Electrical Engineering qualifications highly desirable.

- SEW will issue a Surface Pro for use at both home and office.
- Preference for a 36-hour working week spread over 5 standard weekdays, with openness to reduced hours and flexible days.
