Phillip Riley Projects (PRP) are a project service partner for leading renewable energy projects across Australia. Our team ensures the right people are in the right place, at the right time, to help develop, deliver and manage complex projects and assets in the energy sector, including wind, solar and transmission projects.
**Introduction**:
Based in Hallam or Altona North, and working on-site with our clients where required, the Project Consultant is part of the New Business Team and reports to the Manager, Project Management Consulting. The role is crucial to responding to the growing need of clients in the electricity supply and distribution industry during this period of transformational change. The role demands an enthusiastic, proactive and achievement focused project practitioner with experience delivering a range of projects in a corporate environment.
The role will have accountability for delivering project management and project coordination roles on behalf of external clients as part of our consultancy service. The scope of services for the consultancy relates to business improvement, change management and innovation projects for utility clients, and major infrastructure development.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Ensure the successful delivery of customer-initiated projects from project initiation (design) through to completion, & closeout.
- Manage the delivery of projects safely, within budget and to agreed timelines and quality.
- Support the growth of project management consultancy business for existing and emerging services.
- Proactively manage customers and stakeholders such as utilities, developers, consultants, and contractors.
- Performing project related risk management including identification and mitigation plans.
- Mentor, coach and develop other internal staff.

**Essential Requirements**:
- At least 5 years demonstrated project management experience within a professional services industry
- Experience managing complex projects and / or programs
- Excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate with and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in customer service and effective problem solving
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent risk management skills
**Secondary Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Risk Management
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Electrical Engineering
- Registration or ability be registered as an AIPM Registered Project Manager or Practitioner
