Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical/Hydraulics Technician to join our team of passionate professionals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement the installation, maintenance, and repairs of hydraulic components on trucks and plant machinery.
- Install hydraulic systems such as PTOs, pumps, cylinders, hoists, power packs, wet kits, and valves.
- Perform hydraulic repairs, hose replacements, and re‐sealing of cylinders.
- Install, repair, and service truck‐mounted cranes and tailgate loaders.
- Conduct electrical wiring on cranes, tailgate loaders, and power packs.
- Diagnose faults and carry out annual services on cranes and tailgate loaders.
- Apply auto electrical knowledge when needed.
- Read hydraulic schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Execute hydraulic maintenance tasks during shutdown periods, including component replacement, pipework installation, inspections, and testing of equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic issues on fixed plant assets.
- Assist in the execution, installation, and commissioning of bespoke projects.
- Ensure a high level of safe work practices at site.
- Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systems.
- Engage in welding, metal fabrication, and electrical assembly for repair tasks.
- Review drawings and provide suggestions related to part inspection and testing.
- Utilize computers and other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment.
- Reassemble machines and equipment as required.
- Read dials and meters to determine amperage, voltage, electrical output, and input at specific operating temperatures to analyze parts performance.
- Operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts, test, or fabricate experimental parts.
Compensation
Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super.
Employment Details
Job Type: Full‐time, Permanent.
Annual Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00.
Work Location: In person.
