About the role:
We're looking for a commercially sharp, highly organised Finance Manager to join us at an exciting point in our growth. This role will be reporting to the Chief of Staff while working closely with our Senior Finance Manager to ensure continuity and support transition as we scale.
It's a broad, hands‐on role that sits at the intersection of finance and business execution. You'll work cross‐functionally across the company and may also provide executive support when required.
We're about to launch and move into early revenue and there is a genuine opportunity here to work closely with the existing team to grow a finance function as we scale globally.
The finance department is responsible for:
* End‐to‐end financial management including month‐end, reporting, and cash flow
* Oversight of multi‐country payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination with local providers
* Acting as the central point of contact for external accountants, auditors, and advisors
Key responsibilities
We're looking for someone who is:
* Agile and pragmatic, able to pivot quickly as priorities evolve
* Excited by scale‐up environments, where building is just as important as managing
* Willing to roll up their sleeves and operate across both strategic and operational work
Systems & Transformation
A major focus of this role will be to work with the finance department to help assess our current systems in the transition to a enterprise level finance, payroll, and HRIS stack.
This will involve:
* Assisting in reviewing current tools and identifying gaps as we scale into revenue
* Assisting in the selection, implementation, and integration of new systems
* Assisting in building processes, controls, and evolution of current frameworks to support a larger scale to market business
* Supporting multi‐entity, multi‐geography operations
Previous experience with ERP implementations, system integrations, and finance transformation will be highly valuable.
Finance, Payroll & Governance
You'll assist the finance department in managing finance operations across multiple geographies (including Australia, US, UK, and India), working closely with external accountants, tax advisors, and partners in each region.
You will also support the company's company secretariat function, including:
* Maintaining corporate records and governance documentation
* Supporting board reporting and coordination
* Assisting with compliance obligations across entities
About you:
What We're Looking For
* CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
* Strong financial management experience across multiple geographies
* Experience working closely with external accountants, advisors, and outsourced providers
* Proven ability in growth businesses and being part of finance transformation within a growth business. Experience building processes, systems and templates.
* Experience in start‐up or scale‐up environments, ideally through launch or early revenue
* Exposure to payroll across multiple jurisdictions
* Experience supporting or owning company secretariat / governance activities
* Highly organised, high ownership, adaptable to work at both a hand's on to executive level
* Opportunities to grow your scope as the business scales
* Work directly with the founding team and executive leadership
* A vibrant, collaborative team environment.
