Structural Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for industrial equipment, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop structural systems for industrial equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, platforms, and fixed plant structures
* Review and revise designs to ensure compliance with technical requirements and standards
* Issue fabrication drawings and compile Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products
* Prepare job estimates based on client requirements
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical drafting/detailing role
* Strong knowledge of Australian Standards
* Familiarity with or liaison with fabrication workshops and clients
* AutoCAD or Inventor experience
* Experience working within the concrete, quarrying, asphalt, and recycling industries
* Project management skills
* Demonstrated hands-on experience working within a workshop environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with tier 1 companies
