Position overview
We're looking for a motivated, technically capable Planning Systems Analyst to join the Data Provisioning, Analytics & Governance team in the Planning, Data & Analytics Division.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex problems, enhancing data-driven processes, and supporting enterprise planning systems that help shape the University's strategic direction.
As Planning Systems Analyst, you'll contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and support of the University's Planning (TM1) systems. Reporting to the Reporting & Analytics Architect, you'll work closely with technical and business analysts, along with planning analytics support staff, to deliver high-quality information solutions for University Executive, Colleges, and administrative areas.
You will:
Develop efficient planning analytics processes and models using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
Build and maintain reports and planning models that support institutional planning and decision-making
Conduct system testing, resolve issues, and respond to user feedback
Document processes, develop standards, and contribute to continuous improvement
Provide timely technical support and coordinate user queries
The Person
We're seeking someone who combines strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills. Ideally, you will have:
A qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience in financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, or planning systems
Advanced computer literacy and confidence in data analysis
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing clear documentation
A collaborative mindset and a strong commitment to customer service
The ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes
Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is desirable, but not required.
