We are looking for a motivated Electrician to join our growing team in Newcastle. This full‐time role reports to our Project Managers and would best suit a friendly, team‐oriented individual who thrives in a fast‐paced, ever‐evolving environment.
Your new role What will you do?
* Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex electrical systems: running cable trays, terminating and testing cables, ensuring switchboards, motors, and control systems are correctly installed and compliant with Australian Standards and project specifications.
* Troubleshooting and performing preventive and reactive maintenance, focusing on minimising downtime and ensuring operational reliability. Diagnose faults across industrial equipment including PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation, automation systems on heavy‐industrial sites.
* Maintaining detailed records: service reports, equipment logs, customer interactions and ensuring all work adheres to legislative requirements, standards, company policies and HSEQ standards.
About you
* Drivers' Licence (essential), NSW Electrical Licence (essential).
* Job‐specific certifications/checks: cabling licence (desirable), White Card, National Police Check & Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Collaborative, reliable, promotes a safe, respectful, supportive work environment.
* Willingness to travel regional/interstate (with notice) and work overtime when required.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
