About the Role:
The Rail Operations Trainee will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient movement of rolling stock within the rail network.
This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to start their career in rail operations and want to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safe and efficient shunting of rolling stock
* Assist in the examination of trains and rolling stock on site
* Perform duties in accordance with SCT policies and work instructions
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of rail operations and procedures
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Intermediate PC literacy
* High level commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
* Ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised where required
* Ability to follow instruction and complete tasks in a timely manner
* Current valid Track Awareness Certificate (highly desirable)
