Team Leadership Opportunity
About the Role:
As a Team Leader, you will oversee a multi-disciplinary team providing supported playgroups, family and targeted support, and early childhood education to families with children under 8 years of age. You will lead our Women's Space in Labrador, offering women opportunities for social connection, skill development, and practical assistance programs, as well as our volunteer-run initiatives.
You will work within a strong and collaborative leadership team, enjoying various opportunities for autonomy and leading on projects that meet funding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to families and children.
* Overseeing the Women's Space in Labrador, including program development and implementation.
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team to achieve project outcomes.
* Developing and maintaining positive team culture.
Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced leader who possesses:
* A degree or qualification in Social Work, Human Services, or a relevant field.
* Demonstrated experience in coaching and leadership, with a focus on building positive team culture.
* Comprehensive management skills, including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines, and conflict resolution.
* Sound understanding of integrated service delivery principles and ability to undertake a leadership role with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities, including risk indicators such as drug and alcohol use, domestic and family violence, mental health issues, and the impact of trauma on child behavior and development.
* Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional way with teams, peers, and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
