Job Title: Housekeeper
Casual position - 10- 15 hours per week, school hours, weekend and public holidays
Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all guest accommodation rooms and public areas within the hotel/motel section. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standard.
* Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and toiletries.
* Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and remove rubbish.
* Restock room amenities as required.
* Inspect rooms for any maintenance issues and report them promptly.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
* Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries professionally.
* Maintain housekeeping storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
* Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items.
* Work efficiently within set timeframes to meet daily cleaning schedules.
* Assist with laundry duties as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
* Friendly and professional attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
* Ability to follow instructions and work to a set standard.
Working Conditions:
* Flexible shifts, including mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
* Physical work, including lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
* Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
