Job Description:
The role of Senior Program Officer - Emergency Management is pivotal in contributing to building safe and disaster resilient communities by supporting Zone Emergency Management Committees (ZEMCs).
* Facilitate effective communication and build relationships with key stakeholders.
* Promote an emergency risk management culture.
* Identify and address knowledge gaps in managing emerging risks.
* Develop high-quality resources such as Risk Management Reports and Zone Emergency Management Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of emergency risk management plans, providing expert advice and support to ZEMCs. Cultivate strategic partnerships with emergency management stakeholders to foster unified efforts towards risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with senior-level stakeholders at all tiers of government and representatives within the emergency management community to enhance emergency preparedness across the State's eleven Emergency Management Zones.
Conduct evidence-based research and analysis to support planning and implementation of actions to build disaster resilience at a zone level.
