Overview
Immediate Start Hybrid Work Environment 3 month possible extension This statutory authority, is seeking Procurement Specialists who will play a critical role in managing end-to-end procurement processes, providing expert commercial and procurement advice, and ensuring compliance with government policies and organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the planning and execution of tender processes from concept to contract.
* Identify, plan, and oversee project activities, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
* Provide expert guidance on tendering methods, business cases, briefing notes, Finance Committee papers, and Board reports.
* Liaise with contract managers to ensure effective contract handover and lifecycle support.
* Ensure tender processes comply with statutory, government, and organisational policies, including sustainable procurement initiatives.
* Develop detailed project plans with timelines and milestones for approval by stakeholders.
* Lead negotiations for renewals, extensions, or variations of contracts.
* Collaborate with legal, financial, and probity advisers as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal training.
* Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
* Extensive experience in end-to-end government tender processes (VGPB or equivalent).
* Strong commercial acumen and adherence to procurement governance.
* Skilled in drafting business cases, board reports, and briefing notes.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide expert advice.
