Our fast food/eat in takeaway is open 7 days/evenings
We are looking for a part time/full time Manager/Short Order Cook with flexibility over 7 days, including days/evenings & weekends. If you can lead and manage, we would love to hear from you. The successful applicant will be an experienced Short Order Cook leading a small but busy kitchen. You must be able to ensure working to our high standards and contribute to maintaining our great reputation.
The position would suit a person who is looking to challenge themselves in a busy and varied role, have previous supervisory/management experience in a fast-paced operation. Being able to work under pressure.
AS THE LEAD COOK YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO…
· Lead and manage the kitchen and front of house team
· Prepare and cook our extensive menu
· Hold monthly staff meetings
· Open/Honest and transparent communication with Owner
· Recruit team members in conjunction with Owner/be prepared to independently recruit team members
· Be trained to update POS system
· Excellent communication skills
· Motivated and able to motivate
· Manage conflict with positive outcomes
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience on fryers & hotplate, preferably with seafood
· 2yrs min experience in supervisory or managerial role
· Food preparation skills and knowledge of safe food handling are essential
· Excellent time management and prioritization skills
· Experience managing day to day rostering, allocation, ordering and stock control
