Tunnel System Engineer Position
Our organization is seeking experienced Tunnel System Engineers to join our team in North Lismore, Australia. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, configuring and upgrading local area networks, including hardware and software that support information technology, engineering and industrial control systems for tunnels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and attend to reported failures of Operational Management and Control System (OMCS) related equipment, including servers, storage and network equipment in regional tunnel networks.
* Work on a call-out roster, including weekends and evenings, to diagnose faults, triage and restore failed ITS (software and hardware) to ensure minimum disruption to tunnel operations.
* Maintain operation of headend OMCS software and hardware equipment, including SCADA, MS Windows, VMware, vCentre, Veeam Backup, Solarwinds, Genetec, Studio 5000, PLCs and servers.
* Conduct monitoring and preventative maintenance, including daily system health checks, weekly checks, monthly and annually.
* Complete configuration and backup of specialised OMCS systems, including Plant Management and Control Systems, Traffic Management and Control System, PLCs, Operating systems and Applications, as recommended by the OEM maintenance schedule.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV or tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Control Systems, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication Networks or an equivalent field.
* Demonstrated experience in maintenance of SCADA/industrial control/critical safety systems.
* Thorough knowledge of troubleshooting faults and configuration in virtual platforms across systems and software, including MS Windows, VMware vCentre, Veeam Backup, Solarwinds, Genetec and Studio 5000.
* Experience in diverse network platforms and topologies or CCNA equivalent.
* Proficiency in maintenance of industrial PLCs, enterprise servers and storage system hardware maintenance.
* Valid Driver's license and reliable transport.
* Flexible to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
* Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment.
