What's the role?
This role will play a pivotal role in a mid to large-scale network security operations team. The role entails handling Level 3 escalations and organizing vulnerability and maintenance windows.
Your intermediate to professional knowledge in coding/scripting will be instrumental in supporting our network automation platform, which supports customer requests. Your expertise will extend to scripting for database queries, bolstering the databases housing network telemetry and status information. If you're driven by innovation and have a knack for solving intricate challenges, this role offers the perfect avenue to excel.
Key Duties:
Installation, configuration, and upgrade of hardware, systems, and software for networks.
Management of network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement to optimize performance.
Identify, analyze, and manage risk at every aspect of work.
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.
Undertake project design and architecture work, such as high-level and detailed design work.
Provide technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders to support infrastructure partners and other business units.
What do I need?
Python scripting/coding skills (Intermediate) – primary importance.
DevOps tools skills: BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, Vault.
Operational expertise in network security, including experience with F5 load balancer, GTM/LTM, Firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate), VMware (Broadcom) NSX.
Data management skills: Data collection, schema binding, data manipulation, and analytical skills.
