Our Ballarat team is looking for someone to join as Quality Control Supervisor - Raw Materials. In this position, you will fill a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day Food Safety and Quality operations of the Pizza & Dinner plants.
This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
**About the role**
- Ensure timely release and disposition of raw materials, including out-of-specification items, at the Ballarat site.
- Verify that raw materials meet specifications and supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Raise Prepared Foods Plant Interim specifications as required and agreed with relevant McCain personnel.
- Responsible for the traceability of raw materials within and post the manufacturing facility
- Document and report any non-conforming raw materials and packaging through appropriate channels.
- Create and update necessary procedures, work instructions, forms, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to raw materials.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, addressing any corrective actions required.
- Assist manufacturing with Quality and Food Safety issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Actively participate in relevant meetings, including HACCP team activities and production quality discussions.
**About you**
- Strong team ethic and communication skills, with ability to build collaborative relationships
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to a changing manufacturing environment
- Familiar with Safety principles and practices
- Previous Food Manufacturing Food Safety & Quality experience (desirable)
- Food Science Tertiary Qualifications (desirable)
