Operating within the Finance Department, you will support the Payroll Supervisor in managing all aspects of the national payroll function for TJX Australia. This includes processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for over 5,000+ employees across retail stores, head office, and processing centre operations.
As part of an evolving team, you will help deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of wage payments.
Position Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the team to process end-to-end weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls, including terminations and ad-hoc payment
- Perform general payroll duties, including accurate data entry for new associates and employment change
- Partner with business stakeholders to interpret and ensure correct application of the General Retail Award, EBAs, and legislative requirement
- Resolve payroll queries from associates and internal partners with a strong customer service focu
- Reconcile and process PAYG withholdings, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers’ compensatio
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end reporting for Financ
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll processes, records, and systems to ensure accuracy and complianc
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during payroll audits, providing documentation and explanations as require
- Contribute to the design and implementation of payroll procedures and process improvement
- Maintain personnel files and other sensitive, confidential information in line with company policie
