Your Position at St John of God Bendigo Hospital
We currently have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Critical Care Nurse to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Join our 12-bed unit providing a mix of Intensive Care, High Dependency, and Cardiac Care. In this role, you will work across a rotating roster including night shifts .
The Position:
1. Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-standard nursing care in consultation with the healthcare team, patient, and carers.
2. Provide safe, holistic, and customer-focused patient care.
3. Ensure nursing care is documented accurately and promptly.
4. Implement and document medical treatment orders, consulting with doctors if orders are unclear.
5. Assess the need for and provide health education for patients and carers.
6. Ensure nursing care complies with professional and organisational standards, policies, and procedures.
7. Organise team and individual workloads; prioritise and delegate as appropriate.
8. Communicate effectively, ensuring patients, carers, and the interdisciplinary team are all included in ongoing healthcare.
You will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing.
To succeed, you will have a sound understanding of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN) Standards of Practice for Specialist Critical Care Nurses and demonstrate excellent knowledge and skills relevant to the Critical Care environment.

The Benefits:
1. Salary: $68,093 to $96,175 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
