CLINICAL AGED CARE ASSESSOR - CONTRACT WORK

We’re seeking Clinical Assessors in Queensland - Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast to complete in-home assessments for clients referred through the My Aged Care Gateway. This role is perfect for clinicians who want to enjoy the freedom to work from home and set their own schedule – all while helping older Australians live well and independently.
About the Role:
As a Clinical Assessor, you will:
* Conduct comprehensive, standardised assessments for clients with complex needs, assisting them to access health, housing, disability, financial, and aged care services.
* Determine eligibility for various government-funded services, including Home Care Packages, short-term care, or residential care in an aged care home.
* Engage with families and carers as key stakeholders throughout the assessment process to help connect them with the support services they need through the My Aged Care system.
* Ensure client satisfaction by providing excellent service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For:
A tertiary qualification in any of the following:
* Nursing
* Occupational Therapy
* Physiotherapy
* Speech Pathology
* Social
Work
- Psychology - Paramedicine - Exercise Physiology - Counselling/Psychotherapy
* Pharmacy
* Osteopathy
* Dentistry
* Chiropractic Science
* Chinese Medicine
- Food & Nutrition (Dietician) - Art Therapist - Music Therapist
You must either hold unrestricted registration with AHPRA or be (or be eligible to become) a member of a professional association relevant to your qualifications or health discipline.
* Passion for supporting older Australians to live independently.
* Excellent communication, literacy, and assessment skills.
* Confidence using technology such as smartphones, laptops, video conferencing, and GPS.
* Ability to work independently and manage your schedule.
* Current unrestricted driver’s licence, mobile phone, own car, and computer.
* Satisfactory Police Check.
* Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
* ABN required.
