Newcastle Private is currently seeking experienced environmental services and cleaning professionals to join our dynamic team in a casual or part time opportunity.
We are searching for team members experienced in a high level of cleaning, preferably with hospital or similar experience to work across a rotating 7-day roster including mornings, evenings and nights.
Successful applicants may also be able to pick up or be trained for further work in the Food Services Department.
Key responsibilities
* Provide high standard of cleaning services
* Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
* Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
* Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols
* Assisting the wider hospital teams to ensure patient satisfaction is always achieved
* Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.
* Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
* Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement in all aspects of safety including Work Health & Safety
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience as cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital, aged care or medical setting
* Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Be able to commit to the flexibility of working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster including afternoon, evening and occasional night shifts.
