About the client and role
Our client is a leading professional services and consulting firm, delivering strategy, technology, systems integration, and operations support across industries including Government, Financial Services, and Utilities.
They are seeking a highly experienced SAP Finance and BW Consultant to join a large‐scale transformation program with one of their Government clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a complex enterprise environment, to support and deliver complex finance, reporting and analytics solutions within SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW environments.
This role focuses on designing, implementing and optimising SAP financial processes, BW data models and integrated reporting landscapes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and project leadership to ensure high‐quality functional and analytical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, configuration and optimisation of SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions in SAP S/4HANA.
* Support the development and enhancement of SAP BW/4HANA data models, ETL processes and analytical reporting.
* Provide expertise in financial accounting, controlling, planning, budgeting and performance management processes.
* Conduct fit‐gap analysis, requirements gathering and solution design for finance and reporting functions.
* Collaborate with technical and data specialists to ensure seamless integration between S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and related systems.
* Support testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect resolution and documentation.
* Develop functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, data transformations and reports.
* Partner with business stakeholders to provide advisory support and recommend process and system improvements.
* Contribute to change management, end‐user training and post‐implementation support.
* Ensure all work aligns with governance, compliance and quality‐assurance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) configuration and solution delivery.
* Strong background in SAP BW/4HANA data modelling, reporting and ETL processes.
* Demonstrated ability to support end‐to‐end SAP finance and analytics project lifecycles.
* Solid understanding of financial processes such as GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Centre Accounting, PCA and internal reporting.
* Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance with SAP BW/4HANA and other reporting tools.
* Strong analytical, documentation and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
* Experience working in government or highly regulated environments is beneficial.
* Relevant SAP or project management certifications are an advantage.
