Duties
You will be working in the most advanced and modern shipbuilding hub in Australia, constructing world-class naval vessels as part of the Hunter Class Frigate Program.
Execute tasks defined as being of a Mechanical Function within Production to ensure delivery in line with the Manufacturing Plan
Carry out tasks both on-board the Naval Vessel and also within a workshop environment
Undertake tasks as described within Mechanical Job Cards and complete associated documentation to capture job progress
Ensure time keeping accuracy by booking to correct job cards
Interpret and utilize complex technical drawings
Comply with required quality and technical directions contained within job cards work scopes and process instructions
Work with apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriate
Undertake training as deemed appropriate

Skills & Experience
Trade Qualified - Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting)
Demonstrated experience as an Mechanical Tradesperson
Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
NSSIC Clearance (Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card)

As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
