What is the role Mon-Fri full time, offering hybrid options. We are currently on the hunt for a Network Engineer who has experience working for an IT Systems Integrator or Managed Service Provider. This role focuses on providing technical support to customers including remedial maintenance support on Infrastructure, LAN and WAN Networks as well as the implementation of new projects. Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Architecting, installing, and configuring network infrastructure, servers, and cloud environments. Monitoring network performance, tuning systems, managing upgrades, and ensuring high availability. Developing and enforcing security policies, managing firewalls, and safeguarding against threats. Diagnosing and resolving complex network and system issues, providing technical support. Creating project plans, maintenance procedures, and detailed documentation for inventory and fault resolution. Assessing new technologies and recommending improvements for efficiency and reliability. Configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Analyzing system performance and traffic to prevent bottlenecks. Managing virtualized and cloud-based systems. Who we are looking for Successful candidate must possess: 3 years in a dedicated networking role Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies. Proficient in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls. Experienced with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices. Familiarity with virtualization and cloud networking is an advantage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Tertiary qualification in a relevant IT or technical field. Holds mid-level certifications from vendors like CCNA or CCNP Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, Microsoft, VMware, Symantec, and/or Citrix. Desired Skills & Experience: Relevant degree qualifications or equivalent or 3 years on the job experience in similar roles. Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of computer hardware. General fair service experience preferred.
