Regional Lead Pharmacist

As the Regional Lead Pharmacist, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the day‑to‑day management of our LCLHN Pharmacy Service including Mount Gambier and other sites in the LCLHN, helping to shape safe, high‑quality and patient‑centred care across the region. You'll bring your skills, experience and professional judgement to the coordination, delivery and oversight of a comprehensive range of pharmacy services, ensuring they align with SA Pharmacy's strategic priorities and the goals of the Regional Local Health Network. This is your opportunity to contribute to a positive, high‑performing culture where your expertise supports staff development, service improvement and exceptional patient outcomes.

In this rewarding leadership role, you'll guide, mentor and support a diverse team of professional and non‑professional staff, from pharmacists and interns to students and support officers. You'll champion education, training and orientation within the service, while actively contributing to policy development and quality use of medicines through participation in key committees and working groups.

With responsibility for maintaining high standards, ensuring compliance, and providing expert advice across hospitals and aged care facilities within the network, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact on pharmacy practice across the region.

* Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent), are registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, and bring extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including dispensing, distribution, patient counselling and multidisciplinary collaboration.
* Confident and capable leader, with well‑developed management, supervisory and change‑management skills, able to guide teams, influence medication management practices, and drive service improvement strategies across complex environments.
* Communicate with clarity, warmth and professionalism, demonstrating strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with resilience, adaptability and the ability to work both independently and under broad direction while managing competing priorities.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience in research, data interpretation, KPI reporting, financial management and implementing innovative solutions, along with a passion for teaching, mentoring and developing staff at all levels.
