The role
Location: Remote, Northampton
Salary: £500-£600 per day, 6 months initial, Outside IR35, flexible working, remote except one day per week in Northampton.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Developer to take ownership of the design, delivery, and technical direction of core business applications, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, and integrated enterprise systems.
Role overview
Working closely with Developers and Business Analysts, you will act as the senior technical authority within the team, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to the wider technology roadmap. You will lead complex design and build activity, mentor developers, and provide technical direction across Dynamics, integrations, and platform extensions.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical design and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics and integrated systems.
- Provide technical leadership and act as the escalation point for complex design, integration, and performance issues.
- Lead the implementation of plugins, workflows, integrations, and platform extensions.
- Translate business and functional requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions.
- Design and maintain integrations using Web APIs, Azure services, and middleware.
- Line manage, mentor, and coach developers, promoting standards and best practice.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with external partners, vendors, and Microsoft platform providers.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 CRM on-premise and MS Portals.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 CE.
- Solid C#/.NET experience, including custom plugins and workflows.
- Strong understanding of Azure services used for integration and application hosting.
- Ability to interpret user requirements and deliver secure, resilient technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Power Platform components, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
