Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a General Manager of People & Culture to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 minutes drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. This is a rare opportunity for a People & Culture professional who is seeking a challenging and adventurous change. You will work and live in the town of Yulara, where we are responsible for the whole town, including the Airport, the IGA, the Hotels, the Campground and all Employee Accommodation, just to name a few. Who we are seeking
We are looking for a confident, decisive, business focused General Manager of People & Culture, responsible for a team of five who look after four separate zones of the business at Ayers Rock Resort and up to 1,000 team members during peak season. The successful candidate will have:
* Strong experience in the Human Resources function
* Preferable understanding of Central Australia or have worked in a remote location before
* At least 5 years senior management experience working in hospitality or similar
* Planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with complexity and guide others in problem resolution
* Strong coaching and relationship building skills
Key Duties
Your new role has a strong ER/IR focus, needing a hands‐on approach. You will have the opportunity to guide, lead and manage the broad range of activities and projects including (but not limited to):
* Oversee the implementation of operational workforce strategies, frameworks, guidelines, and systems to attract, retain and develop a high functioning, stable and well‐structured workforce at ARR
* Mentor and provide leadership and strategic guidance to the P&C team at ARR
* Work closely with Voyages VCO P&C and Management teams to ensure consistency and collaboration across the Voyages business
* Provide strategic and functional IR advice and guidance across ARR, including interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards
