The Inclusive Education Professional Practice (IEPP) Branch in the Inclusive Education Division is seeking support for a fixed-term VPS 5, Statewide Practitioner to backfill an existing team member on secondment. The Statewide Practitioner will lead the design and delivery of a coordinated training initiative to strengthen consistency and build capabilities across the state. This role will provide evidence-informed training aligned with HWIR priorities, ensuring that all regions have access to the same high-quality content, tools, resources and best practices. Through a combination of in person workshops, virtual learning sessions, ongoing support, and workshop/event planning the practitioner will promote shared language, aligned processes, and consistent implementation standards. Stakeholder management, collaboration and co-design is a critical aspect of the responsibilities, primarily with regional workforces and is required for effective program management. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys collaborating with others with knowledge of and experience in the Victorian public education context and demonstrated capability in project management with a focus on upskilling the health, wellbeing and inclusion workforces. About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. About the Division Inclusive Education Division The Inclusive Education Division (IncED) has a central role in achieving the Education State Agenda by ensuring that all students will have access to the same quality education, regardless of their background or circumstance. This is reflective of our ambition to ensure students with disability and additional needs are engaged and active learners and are provided with the skills, knowledge and attributes they need to succeed in work and life. Specifically, the purpose of the Division is to: Lead the Department's efforts to implement policy and programs and enhance service delivery to improve educational and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people with disability and additional needs. Focus on how the education system can better support children and young people with disability. This includes implementation of inclusive education reforms and oversight of the Government's $1.6 billion Disability Inclusion reform. Work across the Department and other government departments and agencies to develop and lead policy and initiatives to maximise the access, participation supported transition and achievement of children and young people with disability and additional needs. Build the capability of regional and school-based staff to improve inclusive education frameworks, interventions and practices within regions, schools and early childhood settings. This includes Student Support Services, behaviour, trauma and mental health. Insert paragraph with details on Division/Branch About the Branch Inclusive Education Professional Practice Branch. The Inclusive Education Professional Practice (IEPP) Branch builds the capability of regional and school-based staff to implement improved inclusive education frameworks, interventions and practices by: Focusing direction on the development of an organisational culture that establishes and sustains a consistent and supportive school environment for all students Cultivating collaboration to inform, develop and support inclusive education practices that recognise the unique characteristics of Victoria's education system and meet local demands Providing a practical model of tiered intervention support where leaders and education professionals can identify the capability required to build a learner's cognitive, emotional and social capabilities Deepening professional learning to build teacher knowledge, capabilities and attitudes to improve the educational outcomes for all students. About the Role This statewide role will lead the design and delivery of a coordinated, evidence-informed training initiatives aimed at strengthening consistency and building capability across the health, wellbeing, and inclusion workforces. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with HWIR priorities and deliver high-quality content, tools, resources and best practices for all regions. Through a combination of in-person workshops, virtual learning sessions, ongoing practitioner support, and workshop and event planning, the role will promote shared language, aligned system processes, and consistent implementation standards across the education sector. Key Responsibilities include: * Lead the design, development and delivery of statewide, evidence-informed professional learning initiatives aligned to HWIR priorities. * Ensure consistent access to high-quality training materials, tools, and implementation resources across all regions. * Deliver professional learning through a blend of face-to-face workshops, virtual sessions, and ongoing support mechanisms. * Promote shared language, aligned processes, and consistent standards of practice statewide. * Undertake effective stakeholder engagement, collaboration and co-design with regional workforces to ensure relevance and impact. * Manage program planning, coordination and implementation, including event and workshop logistics. * Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness to inform continuous improvement. * Provide advice and support to strengthen workforce capability in health, wellbeing and inclusion practice About You You are a collaborative and solutions-focused professional who can manage competing priorities and work confidently across complex environments. You demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, respond quickly to emerging issues and maintain alignment with project objectives. You bring experience in health, wellbeing, and inclusion practices, event and training planning and stakeholder engagement, along with the ability to develop and adapt processes to support effective delivery. You communicate clearly and concisely, and can translate complex information into accessible material for regional and area-based health, wellbeing, and inclusion workforces. We are looking for someone who is organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a collaborative environment, with strong project management capability and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly. Desirable Qualifications and Experience * A Bachelor degree in a relevant field is desirable. * Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the public sector or education system. * Demonstrated skills in strategic communications, project delivery, capability building, and high-level evaluation processes. * Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities. * A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
