Technical Service Specialist Position
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and supervising the technical service team at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise hands-on mechanical service work at customer sites
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of systems, machinery, and associated spare parts and wear material components
* Provide technical site support
* Promote products and services to customers
* Promote OEM spare parts and wears material components sales
* Support field technicians and carry out hands-on mechanical service work within the customer site or repair facilities if required
* Support Technical Support Teams on complex issues
* Ensure accurate delivery of site reports, time sheets, and travel expense reports after each job in a timely manner
* Support quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning, and pricing information
* Assist with warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable
* Assist the Field Service Coordinator with allocation of work to team members
Requirements:
* 5 years minimum experience in industrial equipment, technical support, and service
* At least 2 years of supervisory experience
* Experience in troubleshooting technical-field-related problems
* Ability to effectively lead and supervise customer/user personnel under various working conditions and hours
* Ability to interact technically with Field Sales, Training, Application & Technical Support groups as well as Parts, Support & Engineering groups
* Ability to maintain a steady and level attitude under pressure
* Ability to read hydraulic schematics
* Ability to solve problems and situations
* Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests and be physically fit
* Ability to travel within short notice
* Ability to work away from home for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required
